Sauce Tzatziki
Sauce Tzatziki. Tzatziki is a creamy cucumber yogurt dip (or sauce) made from simple ingredients including strained yogurt (or Greek yogurt), cucumbers, garlic, and sometimes fresh herbs such as dill or mint. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill and garlic.
Stir together olive oil, vinegar, and garlic in a bowl and let sit while you prepare the cucumber. Pour the tzatziki sauce into an airtight container or bowl covered with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of three hours before serving. Traditionally, it is made from strained sheep or goat's milk yogurt, but a full-fat Greek yogurt works just fine in this dip.
Tzatziki ( Greek: τζατζίκι ), also known as tarator or cacık ( Turkish pronunciation: [dʒaˈdʒɯk] ), is a dip, soup, or sauce found in the cuisines of Southeast Europe and the Middle East.

Tzatziki, while being a ridiculously fun word to say and a very good name for a dog if you are in need of one, is a classic Greek condiment made of thick yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon or vinegar, and fresh herbs like dill or mint or thyme, and sometimes olive oil. Traditionally, it is made from strained sheep or goat's milk yogurt, but a full-fat Greek yogurt works just fine in this dip. Grate cucumber with a cheese grater into a sieve set over a bowl.
